The awesome looking Phoebe Cates graced the covers of so many magazines in the 80’s. Her posters were everywhere. She was the crush of so many young men then.
She made movies that were largely oriented towards young audiences like the two “Gremlins” movies.
And who could forget “Fast Times at Ridgemont High” and her immortal scene in red bikini. Rolling Stone described it as “the most memorable bikini-drop in cinema history”!
She married actor Kevin Kline at the end of the 80’s, then retired from acting in 1994 to raise her children!
What a loss to a multitude of fans!
