Michael Douglas said Debra Winger was set to co-star in “Romancing The Stone”/1984” but lost out to Kathleen Turner after a bizarre biting incident.
After knocking down a couple of tequilas with dinner, Douglas and Winger walked outside.
Douglas gives Winger a punch on her arm “Oh, You!” and she went “Oh, You!” and bites him on the arm.
—-“She bites me. She’s joking around and I’m looking at her, she’s broken the skin”—-
Douglas went back to Director Robert Zemeckis and said he couldn’t work alongside Winger after the biting episode.

Ms. Winger and Shirley MacLaine played loving mom and daughter in “Terms of Endearment”/1983.
Ms. MacLaine became fed up Winger’s antics including one rumored incident where Winger lifted her dress to fart in MacLaine’s direction.
