The village of Walnut Grove for the series “Little House on the Prairie”.

Michael Landon absolutely did not want the village built for the needs of the series to be used for another film.

In fact, he feared that this village would later be used for a horror film or something else.

To preserve the memory of this setting and this series, he asked that the real destruction of this village be included in the scenario to thus close the story of the Ingalls family and the series.

In the last episode, all the villagers witnessed the explosion of houses, businesses and other establishments with dynamite, the owner of the land where this village was built sowed terror.

To put an end to this terror, the villagers decided to make everything disappear.

The emotion that could be read on the faces of the actors in the series, despite the script, was obviously real because it was the end of a great adventure for this series and it was undoubtedly this episode that had the greatest impact. forever the mind of all viewers…

The actors had become a big family and they ended there with the real destruction of the setting where they had evolved.

This village was, of course, not a set for a film but for a television series. But it had as much impact as the other film sets.
