Today, I was standing in line at the post office. A middle-aged worker was helping people, and then he turned to me and said, “Do you mind if I ask you a question?”
I immediately guessed he was going to ask about my birthmark, because that’s what most strangers usually ask me. I smiled and said, “Sure.”
But instead of asking a question, he surprised me. He said,
“My daughter has the same birthmark as you. And my niece has one too. I know people can be unkind about birthmarks like yours, but just ignore them. You are beautiful.”
His kindness touched my heart.
Dear sir, thank you for your compassion and your gentle words. You made my day, and you are making the world a kinder place. ❤️
