This morning, on my way to work

0

This morning, on my way to work, I saw a pregnant woman standing by the roadside. She looked like she was in a lot of pain—she was clearly in labor.

She had probably been waiting a long time for a taxi, but no one wanted to stop for her. A few women were nearby, trying to comfort her. The small crowd caught my attention.

At first, I drove past them. But then, I changed my mind. I turned around and offered to take her to the hospital.

As I drove, she was restless, shouting, and clearly uncomfortable. Honestly, I was terrified. What if something went wrong? What could I do?

Then, before I could even say, “Madam, take it easy,” she gave birth—to a baby boy—right in my car. And then she said, “There’s another one coming!”

I didn’t know whether to stop or keep driving. I was frozen with fear. 😨😭

I took a deep breath, gathered all the little safety and first-aid knowledge I had, and kept going.

We finally made it to the hospital. The nurses rushed to help her, and within minutes, she gave birth to her second baby—a healthy boy.

The mother and her twins are doing great.

As for me? I’m still in shock. Every time I think about how I drove that car through one of the most intense experiences of my life, tears come to my eyes.

Thank you, God, for letting me be there for this woman and her babies. 🙏
