The Balloon Story – Full Version (English)

0

One day, a teacher decided to teach her students an important lesson about life.

She brought a balloon for every student in the class. Each student inflated their balloon and wrote their own name on it. Then the teacher asked everyone to throw their balloons into the hallway. Once all the balloons were outside, she mixed them up so that no one could tell whose balloon was whose.

The teacher then gave the students five minutes to find the balloon that had their own name on it.
The hallway instantly became chaotic. Students rushed around, searching desperately. They picked up balloons, read the names, tossed them aside, and kept looking.

Five minutes passed—
Not a single student had found their own balloon.

The teacher then said gently:

“Now, I want each of you to pick up the balloon closest to you. Read the name on it, and give it to the person whose name is written there.”

The students followed the instruction.
Within five minutes, every single student was holding their own balloon—happily, effortlessly.

The teacher smiled and said:

“Do you see what happened? These balloons are like happiness.
If everyone is only searching for their own, we will never find it.
But if we care about other people’s happiness…
we will find our own much more easily.”
