š¾ She Was Being Walked to Her Death ā Until Love Intervened
I never thought of myself as a dog person.
But one night around 11 p.m., while scrolling through Facebook, I saw a post about animals scheduled to be put down at the ASPCA in New York the next morning. Normally, Iād share those posts and move on ā after all, I live in Florida.
But this time was different.
There was one dog ā a small, terrified little soul ā whose eyes seemed to speak directly to my heart. I didnāt know why, but I knew I had to save her.
My husband thought I was crazy. Maybe I was. But I didnāt care. I commented on the post, āI want her.ā Within minutes, a friend in New York connected me with a rescuer. It was already midnight.
I barely slept that night. I kept whispering to her photo, āIām trying to save you.ā
At 6 a.m., I waited anxiously for news.
At 8 a.m., the call finally came..
