Raj Kapoor, known for his mastery of romantic and sensual scenes, made his ambitious film “Mera Naam Joker” in 1970, which prominently featured bold scenes. While the film is considered a cult classic today, the scenes featuring actresses Padmini and Simi Garewal were heavily criticized in those days. Several film magazines even called Raj Kapoor a “hot meat dealer.” However, these comments didn’t affect him, and in his very next film, “Bobby,” Raj Kapoor featured a young actress like Dimple Kapadia in a bikini. What the world considered obscene was considered art, and in 1977, he presented the film “Satyam Shivam Sundaram,” in which Zeenat Aman openly exposed her body. Raj Kapoor never cared for critics and conservative people, even in his last film ‘Ram Teri Ganga Maili’, he filmed such scenes with actress Mandakini which set the screen on fire in those days.
