Today, while I was flying to Washington, I witnessed a beautiful act of kindness. A sweet 94-year-old woman boarded the plane. She was very frail and struggled to walk to her seat. There was also some confusion about where she was supposed to sit.
A gentleman sitting in first class noticed what was happening and immediately called me over. He said, “Could you please help her and let her sit in my seat? I’ll take hers.” He then walked back with me to guide her to the front of the plane.
The elderly woman was deeply touched. She gave him a warm hug and said with tears in her eyes, “In all my 94 years, no one has ever done something like this for me. Thank you, young man.”
Everyone on the plane felt the shift in energy. His simple act of kindness lifted the mood of the entire flight.
It was a beautiful reminder that even small gestures can make a big difference. In this busy world, let’s all try to look for little opportunities to help others and Be the Good.
