At the age of 60, legendary actor Jim Carrey announced his retirement: “I’ve done enough.”

Yes, it’s something that neither I nor the rest of his fans expected to happen, but unfortunately it has, and much sooner than I thought.

During an interview with Access Hollywood to promote Sonic 2: The Movie, his latest film, Jim Carrey revealed that he was going to retire.

The sad announcement came the same week that Bruce Willis announced his retirement from acting due to health problems (another hard blow).

In what seemed more like a conversation than an interview, Carrey confessed that he has worked hard and is very proud of the films he has made.

“I feel like… this is something you’ll never hear another celebrity say as long as they exist, I feel like I’ve had enough. I’ve done enough. I am enough.”
