The Ukrainian army announced a grand offensive to retake Kherson. Russian army rushed 25,000 troops there from th Donbas.
Then Ukrainian army sprang the trap, destroying all the bridges over the big, fast river separating the Kherson area from Russian-occupied Ukraine.
Now Russian can’t resupply those troops. Now those troops can’t attack Ukraine in Donbas.
If Ukrainian army now attacked them the Russians would have a target for cruise missiles launched from boats in the Black Sea (except for the boats the Russian navy kindly donated to Ukraine as future recreations scuba dive sites at bottom of Black Sea.
But if Ukrainian army uses HIMARS sent by Biden to keep bridges broken…well, why attack a lion in a cage. Just keep the cage working, amirite?
