Today, Mia would have been celebrating her 17th birthday. We can imagine her driving with confidence, cheering on the sidelines, playing her favorite sport—soccer—and soaking up the warm summer days with her friends and family. Without a doubt, she’d be dancing, laughing, and making endless TikTok videos, just like she always loved to do.
Although Mia passed away at the age of 13 after bravely fighting DIPG, her life continues to inspire everyone who knew her. She wasn’t just a fighter—she was a warrior, an ambassador, and a beacon of hope to so many others walking similar battles. Her strength, courage, and unshakable faith touched lives far beyond her own circle.
Mia had a special kind of light. She was both fiercely competitive and deeply caring. She had sass when you least expected it and sweetness when you needed it most. As a middle child, she was anything but ordinary. She adored her two brothers and brought a unique spark to their family—one that can never be replaced.
Every single day, Mia is missed. Her absence is felt, but so is her presence—in memories, in stories, and in the love she left behind. Her family believes she is now walking with Jesus, surrounded by peace, joy, and the beauty of heaven.
