Carrie and Craig were a loving couple who had always dreamed of becoming parents. After years of trying and many disappointments, they were told that having biological children was unlikely. Though the news was heartbreaking, they decided that their home and hearts were still meant to hold children—so they turned to adoption.
Before long, they were matched with a birth mother in the United States who was expecting twins. On February 28th, the twins were born, and Carrie and Craig finally became parents. Their joy was beyond anything they had imagined.
A year later, something incredible happened. The same birth mother became pregnant again—with another set of twins. And in a twist that felt almost unbelievable, these twins were also born on February 28th, exactly one year after the first set.
Knowing how much Carrie and Craig loved her first two babies, the birth mother wished for the new twins to be adopted by the same family. With the help of the One Chance Foundation—run by author Karen Kingsbury—Carrie and Craig received a grant that helped them afford the second adoption. Their family doubled once again, filling their home with even more laughter and love.
But the story didn’t end there.
Not long after bringing home the second set of adopted twins, Carrie began feeling different. To everyone’s surprise—especially hers—she discovered she was pregnant. Even more astonishingly… she was expecting twins.
And then the final miracle: her biological twins were born on February 28th, the same day as the two adopted sets.
Three sets of twins. Three years in a row. All born on February 28th.
A family that once feared they might never have children was now blessed with six beautiful kids—each arrival woven into their lives in the most extraordinary way. Carrie and Craig often say that adoption didn’t just change their lives… it transformed them forever.
