I saw Tom Hanks at Best Buy! He was in line right in front of me with a full cart, all by himself. I was just picking up a bottle of water since they didn’t have what I needed. Out of nowhere, I blurted out, “Forest Gump is my favorite movie,” and probably sounded a little weird. He turned around and said, “That was my favorite movie to make! I’m glad you love it.” We ended up chatting about movies while we waited in line.
When it was his turn to check out, he said, “Oh, let me get that water for you,” and paid for it. He kept the conversation going, and as we walked out, he said, “Nice talking to you! You’re a very nice young lady, and always remember… life is like a box of chocolates… you never know what you’re gonna get,” in his Forest Gump voice. It was the best experience ever!
